Who we are
Baharash Electrical Contractor Ltd, trading as EICR London Pro, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15526897, with our registered office at Suite 112, First Floor Boundary House, Boston Road, London, W7 2QE.
If you have a question about your information or want to use your rights, email [email protected], call us on 07301 010244 or write to our registered office.
The information we collect
When you ask for a price, book or contact us, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- the address and postcode of the property;
- details of the property — for example its type, number of bedrooms and consumer units, and whether it is let;
- your preferred date and time, how you would like us to contact you, and anything you write in a message;
- the price we showed you and the reference number of your request;
- your consent choices — including the exact wording you agreed to and when.
When you use our website, we collect your IP address and browser details when you submit a form (to protect our forms from spam and to keep a record of your consent) and how you reached us — for example the search or advert you clicked. If you accept analytics or advertising cookies, our partners collect information about how you use the site (see our cookie policy).
When we do the work, we keep the inspection findings, the test results and the report, and any access details you give us — for example a tenant’s or agent’s name and number.
We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health details. If you tell us about medical equipment that must stay powered, we only use that to plan the visit safely.
How we use your information, and why we are allowed to
| What we do | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Give you a price, arrange and carry out the work, send your report and deal with follow-up questions | Steps you ask us to take before a contract, and performing our contract with you |
| Send you emails about your request and appointment | Performing our contract with you |
| Keep records of the work, reports and invoices | Legal obligation (tax and accounting records) and our legitimate interest in dealing with questions or claims about our work |
| Protect our forms and systems from spam, fraud and misuse — including Cloudflare Turnstile checks | Our legitimate interest in keeping our services secure |
| Measure which pages and adverts work | Your consent (analytics and advertising cookies) |
| Send reminders and offers — for example when your next EICR is due | Your consent (only if you tick the box). You can unsubscribe at any time |
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only when we need to:
- Our own CRM and job-management system, so our office team can arrange and carry out your job.
- Companies that provide services to us, under contracts that require them to protect your information: our website and server hosting, Cloudflare (security, spam protection and content delivery), our email provider and our file storage.
- Telegram, the messaging app our office team uses for an instant alert about each new enquiry — the alert includes your name, contact details and what you asked for, and goes only to our team’s private chat.
- Your tenant, letting agent or managing agent, when you ask us to arrange access with them or send them the report.
- Google, Microsoft and Meta — only if you accept advertising cookies. If you submit a form after accepting them, we may share a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address and phone number, so they can tell us whether an advert led to an enquiry. They cannot turn it back into your details.
- Authorities, where the law requires us to.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers, such as Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Telegram, may process information outside the UK. When they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by UK-approved contract terms (the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum).
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: 24 months after we last hear from you.
- Bookings, reports and invoices: 6 years after the job, to meet tax rules and deal with any questions about the work.
- Form submissions identified as spam: deleted after 14 days.
- Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe. We keep a note that you unsubscribed so we don’t contact you again.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to us using it — including for direct marketing, which we will stop straight away;
- move information you gave us to another organisation (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month and there is normally no charge.
Automated checks
Our forms automatically screen out obvious spam — for example a form sent within a second of opening. This doesn’t have any legal or similarly significant effect on you. If you think a genuine message has been blocked, please call us.
Keeping your information safe
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your information is limited to people who need it, our admin systems need two-factor sign-in, and our data is backed up regularly.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right — email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you what happens next. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if the way we use your information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
